Bets finally opened
July 21, 2008We have opened the bets for the Rookies games. The maximum amount to bet is 10 Karma points per game and you may win up to twice what you bet plus some amount depending on other user’s bets. Game’s participants can not bet although they can win a percentage of what people bet on them, more details later.
We have also started to use the security mechanisms for detecting some “cheating” and applying it when enrolling in new games and when finishing a game, etc. Double users may not enroll in the same game now and if not detected during the enroll process their Karma will be getting lower instead of increasing when game is finished.
Its pretty clear that Chiku is the fan favourite at this point!

Now I am gonna lose 10 Karma for just fiddling innocently.
despite the popularity, i’d rather that everyone in the game not be able to see on who bet how much on who.
i feel like there’s a target on the back of my head, well other than my stylish hat, that doesn’t exist.
good point, if other players can see who is better where, they will try to get them out first.

Initially it will be little chaotic but the own system will get more stable and organized. For example, next time people will not bet that much for one particular participant (as happens to Chiku), as now is a clear target for other housemates and lots of karma can be lost, therefore next time bets will be moving towards different not so evident options. I would bet more for a housemate with some experience but low in bets, etc.
It can be fun to see how it evolves although I guess that this first time we all agree that is getting Chiku to a difficult position in the game.
While you are here lovely person md can you find a way of deleting my bet? please please please?
I didn’t mean to bet, was just messing about and there was nowhere saying i couldn’t reset or anything and so i just losted 10 precious karma bits
